After joining Parkinson-Spencer Refractories in 2020, Damian Martin has progressed in various positions across the business. Most recently he accepted a new role as Area Sales Engineer.
Welcoming Damian Martin to the PSR Sales Team
We would like to introduce the newest member of the PSR sales team, Damian Martin, as our new Area Sales Engineer. Damian was as delighted as we were to accept his new role towards the end of 2024.
Damian’s career prior to joining PSR began as Facilities Manager, and he went on to be a Project Engineer and Estimator. Roles involved him in managing engineers’ queries and any changes to design planning and ordering and being involved in the negotiation and procurement of tenders for project quotations. Damian also had sales and marketing responsibilities in these previous roles. He then joined PSR in 2020 and three years later, having worked across areas of the factory, he became our Mould Shop Supervisor. In this role he has played a key role in supporting the research and development of products to help improve business efficiency. For example, he was involved in redesigning and looking at new materials that can be used in the casting process.
Damian’s past career, combined with the experience he has gained in various roles at PSR, equip him well for this appointment. He has great enthusiasm for the products we supply, demonstrates initiative in developing ideas and has proven his dedication to the company. We know that he is going to be a great asset to the PSR sales team and he has already visited customers in India and Italy with Simon Parkinson and Neil Gunter, and recently been to Thailand for Glassman Asia.
